Gender Reveal Party

Gender Reveal Party

A gender reveal party is a fun way for the soon to be parents to announce or even find out the gender of their baby. Finding out the gender of your baby is exciting whether it is your first or third child, so why not make it a moment to celebrate with family and friends. The following are a few ideas you can use to host a very memorable gender reveal party.

Themes

Coming up with a theme can be a fun way to reveal the baby’s gender. You can use a neutral animal theme, neutral colours, pregnancy cravings mom has been experiencing, or if it is around any holiday, you can use that as inspiration.

Balloons

Balloons are one of the most popular and common ways to reveal gender. Have someone who already knows the gender to blow up balloons and place them in a box. Blue balloons for a boy and pink balloons for a girl. The excited parents will then open the box, and the balloons will pop out to reveal the gender. Alternatively provide a showstopper at your party by popping a pre-filled confetti balloon to reveal either pink confetti for a girl or blue confetti for a boy.

Cake

Using the cake is another fun and popular method. Go to the bakery, hand them the note from the doctor stating the gender of the baby. They will then make the inside of the cake blue or pink to represent the gender. When you cut into the cake with all your friends and family, all will be revealed.

Make your Guess

Finally, if you want to give your family and friends the chance to guess at the gender before it is revealed, you can set up a cotton candy stand with blue and pink cotton candy or buy Hershey bars and colour in the SHE in pink on the wrapper or the HE in blue. You can also provide different coloured necklaces or bibs for them to grab. Once the gender is revealed, everyone can look around the room and see who was right!
