Baby shower Games are a fun and exciting event that many expectant mothers look forward to. Women come together to celebrate the impending birth of a child and take part in many traditions such as lots of food, baby gifts, wise advice, and baby shower games.

While some baby shower games may be corny, they are almost like a rite of passage for the new mother, and they are a way to bring everyone closer together in celebration of the little one’s arrival.

Here are a few ideas for games to include in your next baby shower event!

• Don’t say, BABY! This is a time honoured classic game and tends to make an appearance at baby showers. Everyone at the party will be given a number of diaper pins at the start of the festivities. Every time a party goer hears you say the word BABY, they will take one of your diaper pins. The winner is the person at the end of the game that has collected the most diaper pins.
• Guess the Baby Food: this is a more adventurous game and is not for those with weak stomachs. Party goers are blindfolded and fed a spoonful of baby food. It is then their job to properly guess which baby food it is. The person with the most correct answers wins! To make it even more interesting, everyone participating should don a bib.
• Place the Baby on Mummy: Very similar to the popular kids’ game, Pin the Tail on the Donkey. For this game, you will need a blown-up picture of mom to be with a pregnant belly. Party goers are then blindfolded and handed a cutout picture of a baby and are then tasked with trying to attach the picture to the mum. Make sure to spin them around a few times to make it more interesting.
